Hot Rolled Coils

Description

This is a process which involves rolling the steel at high temperature which is above the steel’s recrystallization temperature. The specific chemical composition and strictly controlled manufacturing process is what makes these steels so unique. Offered coils are manufactured with high precision under the strict guidance of our vendor’s adroit technical experts by utilizing the finest grade metal alloy. Cold Rolled Coils

Description

Our cold rolled coils are finished with precision to match international standards. They have good shape, high tolerance, versatility and blemish-free surfaces. They are used in commercial and general engineering applications such as bus bodies, cladding and fan blades. The cold rolled coils are manufactured from the hot rolled coils. The hot rolled coils are cleaned chemically and processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling.

This process produces steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes. Cold rolling increases strength, enhances the surface finish and offers uniform thickness. To prevent the cold rolled coils from rust, they are usually coated with a thin layer of oil. Further coating of Zinc-Aluminium alloy or galvanization on the metal can be processed. Dmsons offer cold rolled coils in a range of international standard grades.

Mild steel plates are more ductile, machinable and weldable. They are nearly impossible to harden and strengthen during heating and quenching. They require very little carbon and other alloying elements to block dislocations in crystal structure.

All products are made with care to cater to specific customer needs.

a. The base substrate (GI, GL, EG, GA, Al) is first thoroughly cleaned to remove any surface impurities.

b. The sheet is then coated with a fine layer of chemical, which helps prevent rust and corrosion.

c. A primer coat that adds anti-corrosion and adhesive properties is then added to the sheet.

d. The final paint layer (or finish coat) is then applied to the sheet. This coat is responsible for the final look and feel of the coil.

This layer can also serve as a base layer for beautiful, custom designer patterns that can be printed on the sheet using a single-pass, online process.

e. An optional lamination film (or guard film) can be applied to prevent external dirt from accumulating on the sheet prior to end-use.
